The second Deep Space Carrier to be commissioned, with registry PB3865, the Odyssey was rushed into action when the Prometheus was destroyed by an Ori Satellite weapon.
Created soon after the Daedalus, the Odyssey took on the responsibilities that were previously Prometheus's and had only 90% of its systems operating when it was sent on a mission to rescue SG1 from the Lucian Alliance. Along with the responsibilities, most of the crew were also transferred from the Prometheus to the Odyssey.
