Lord Protector's Race is split into two groups, those that have the special gene, and those that don't. Those people which are fortunate enough to have the Ancient gene, live a life of luxury, whilst those who don't are forced to suffer hardship and work in the village. The people are ruled over by the Lord Protector who protects his people from the Wraith using Ancient technology. However, after Sheppards visit, equal rights were given to all the people.
