Jinto is the son of the Athosian, Halling, and was the first Athosian encountered by the expedition, whilst playing a game of Hide and Seek at night.
Jinto came with Sheppard when the planet was culled and his father was taken, however Sheppard managed to rescue his father and reunite him with his son.
Whilst playing Hide and Seek in Atlantis Jinto ended up being transported to another part of the city, where he unleashed a black shadow being by accident which caused problems for the Atlantis crew, although the matter was contained thanks to Rodney McKay.
