Halling is the father of Jinto and a leader in his own rights. Halling was one of the first Athosians encountered by the Atlantis Expedition, however was soon taken by the Wraith in a Culling.
Sheppard however, managed to save him and the other captured humans. Halling returned to Atlantis with the expedition and was allowed to remain there with his son and the other Athosians.
Later him and his people were transferred onto the mainlands of Atlantis, where they farmed and produced food for the Athosians and Atlantis Expedition.
