The Fog-Beings of M5S-224 are able to read the thoughts of other people and create any illusion that they desire. They are energy based, meaning when the Stargate is activated, it draws energy from the beings, killing them in the process. The Atlantis expedition unknowingly try to use the planets fog to power the gate to Earth, however they are stopped by the Fog Beings who realise what they want to do. The expedition manage to come to a solution, and the Fog Beings bury the gate so no-one can come to the planet and kill their kind again.
