Synopsis
Plot
When a Russian officer arrives at the SGC and falls ill, he appears to have a contagious disease. He infects Daniel, causing him to become violent and tries to go through the gate. However when he recovers he realises that the 'illness' is in fact Anubis, and he is still alive but in as possession by Anubis, who is alive and wants to escape Earth through the Stargate. However, they are not able to locate him and in spite of the SGC's efforts to try and contain him, his ability to switch bodies allows him to move around without being found. Eventually Anubis is able to take over Jacks body and manages to reach the Stargate where the Russian soldier who is now dyeing, offers Anubis his body to escape in as opposed to that of Jacks. Anubis accepts but instead of reaching the planet of his choice ends up in an Icy planet.
Bloopers
General Blooper
- It takes two people to set the self destruct, and two people to disable it (as seen in a previous episode, when Hammond asked Sam to be the second person) yet in this episode, Sam overrides the self destruct on her own.
Quotes
Daniel: We let the Ancients deal with him. O'Neill: (cynically) Yes - because they've *always* been so helpful.
O'Neill: You'd think that getting blasted outta orbit woulda slowed the guy down.
Jack has shot the possessed Daniel Daniel: Who shot me? O'Neill: Don't ... change the subject. What do you remember? Daniel: Uh, I went to see Colonel Vaselov and right in the middle of our conversation he collapsed and I went to help him and ... that's it. Carter: You don't remember accompanying him to the Infirmary? Daniel: No! ... (Suspiciously) Who shot me? O'Neill: You were shooting up the Gateroom.
Daniel: Did you notice anything peculiar about him, sir? O'Neill: I thought it odd he was shooting up the Gateroom.
Daniel: Yeah - his attitude has nothing to do with your being Russian. He's an equal opportunity offender
Vaselov: General O'Neill. It is an honour to meet you, and may I say an even greater honour to finally serve under your command. O'Neill: Wow. That was a load. Who *are* you?
