[edit] Synopsis

[edit] Plot

Jack has had the repository of Ancient knowledge downloaded into his mind, and hopefully, he will soon know the secret location of The Lost City of the Ancients, where the power to defeat Anubis is thought to lie. With Anubis on his way to Earth with his super-drone army, SG-1 can only hope that ancient knowledge becomes accessible to Jack soon, or else certain doom will come when Anubis comes. However, along with the knowledge of the ancients, SG-1 also realise that unless they can contact the Asgard, Jack will die as his mind is to privative to comprehend the knowledge of the ancients. A chance for Earth is shown as Daniel notices the first glimpses of Ancients words from Jack, whilst he is trying to do a crossword while he still can understand English. Daniel realises that they are not words but syllables of two words—Praclarush Taonas, which is the name of the planet where the Lost City lies. Daniel also figures out that each symbol on the gate is given a sound, allowing names to be given to gate addresses. When they find the address of the planet Jack wrote, they discover that its a planet that they've already tried dialling, however were unable to reach due to the gate being buried. Sam uses the address to chart the planet's position in space, but to get their they need a ship, and they cannot take Prometheus as its Earth's primary line of defence and with Anubis on his way, its needed on Earth. Luckily, Teal'c and Bra'tac, are able to procure an unarmed interstellar cargo ship on Chulak. The ship was stolen from Anubis by a free Jaffa named Ronan who wants to join them in their mission. With the new Ship, SG-1, Bra'tac and Ronan travel to Praclarush Taonas with equipment brought by Jacks unconscious mind, without him knowing why. When Jack senses they're not travelling fast enough, he decide to modify the engines to make them faster than before. Meanwhilst, on Earth, Anubis has begun his attack on Earth. To start, he destroys an American aircraft carrier and a battle cruiser along with all communications across the planet. Kinsey now the Vice President runs to SGC to try and Gate to the Alpha site where he would be safe, however he has no luck in doing so. At the White House, the newly appointed President orders Prometheus to be launched with General Hammond at the helm. Back on the ship, SG-1 arrive to find themselves on a planet which is completely covered by molten rock. Jack points to a dome shaped anomaly on the planet surface, and they ring down to it in the Hazmat suite which Jack brought with him. Once there, they find a complex built by the ancients. They also find a single chair, to which Jack walks towards, takes of his Hazmat hood and sites on. Suddenly, the chair is activated, and the atmosphere of the structure becomes safe. He then activates a holographic map of what Earth looked like a millennia ago, and says Terra, Atlantis. Daniel realises that he's pointing to Antartica and summises that the Lost city of the ancients is infact back on Earth! Jack then puts his hazmat hood back on, deactivates the map and atmosphere and removes a panel from the floor to reveal a power source. He removes this and with that the shield which was protecting the complex is shut, but due to the perfectly formed sphere of molten rock, they are still safe. When SG-1 signals Bra'tac to ring them out, Ronan shows his true colours, and stabs Bra'tac in the stomach, however is surprised to find that Bra'tac no longer carries a symbiote and is able to over power Ronan and kill him. Though weak, Bra'tac is able to activate the rings before the structure collapses, but in his injured state doesn't look to good at which point Jack shows the powers of the ancients and heals Bra'tac. Back at SGC, Kinsey is trying desperately to gate offworld, however Weir will not allow him to do so. However, suddenly there's an offworld activation. It seems that Anubis has dialed in to stop them from leaving, cutting Kinsey's route. Kinsey isn't too pleased and when Weir suggests to send Prometheus Kinsey attempts to relieve her, however the president accepts his resignation and Kinsey no longer holds any post of power. During the route back to Earth, Jack modifies the rings. Once there, they go to Antarctica, and Jack points to a location where the Cargo ship with the newly modified rings, starts burns a hole through the ice. However things look bad, when Anubis' fleet arrives and moves in for the kill, and it appears they are coming from both sides, however they soon realise that its Hammond on the Prometheus along with a fleet of F-302 fighter jets. Though outclassed and outgunned, Hammond buys SG-1 the time it needs to ring under the ice. Once there, they discover an outpost similar to the one they found on the planet they went to, however the only difference is that the outposts power source is depleted. Jack replaces it with the one they brought from the planet. At this point, Anubis' super-drones ring in and engage SG-1 in a fire fight. Jack who isn't taking notice of the Kull Warriors or the fire fight, goes to a chair similar to the one they found on Praclarush Taonas, and sits on it. This activates the platform and what seems like a weapon, and with that, thousands of energy beams shoot upward into space, avoiding Prometheus, which has engaged Anubis' mothership - whilst destroys Anubis and his fleet! With Anubis's fleet gone, their attention turns to Jack, who is drained to exhaustion. Jack indicates that he needs to go into the chamber he pointed out earlier. The chamber activates, putting jack in suspended Animation.

[edit] Bloopers

[edit] CGI

    • After Colonel O'Neill modifies the engines, it changes the background of the hyperspace tunnel since they are travelling at a much higher velocity. Yet, at one point, the hyperspace tunnel seems to change back to the original blue during one scene

[edit] Mistakes during Filming

    • When Anubis's hologram appears in the Presidents room, the guards start shooting, but you cannot see any bullet holes in the room. No extra body guards come running in either as they should have, had they heard gunshots from the room in which the President is currently in.
