[edit] Synopsis

[edit] Plot

Daniel Jackson appears to O'Neill and alerts him that Anubis has located the Eye of Ra, a fabled object of power, hidden somewhere on Abydos, and he must find it before Anubis and save Abydos. With the help of Daniel, O'Neill and SG-1 find the Eye first however, they are pin-downed by Anubis's Jaffa, and have no way out. Determined to have it, Anubis threatens to destroy the entire planet unless Daniel and SG-1 hand it over, and whilst Jack thinks its not a good idea to trust Anubis or any Goa'uld, Daniel thinks that it may be the only way to save the people of Abydos.

[edit] Quotes

O'Neill: I got the Eye and a pound of explosive stuck to it. Give us clear access to the Gate or I'll blow it up.
Her'ak: Yourself along with it.
O'Neill: What's your point
O'Neill: Actually, a funny thing happened to me today. I'm riding an elevator, and an old friend of mine, someone who never calls, never writes, just shows up and tells me all about this very important and apparently urgent mission that needs my attention. Wait, let me tell it, it's good. You see, this buddy of mine, this pal, this chum, has ascended to a whole new level of existence. Do you see the irony?
Jonas: Is it really necessary to further antagonize him
O'Neill: Yes
Her'ak: I will talk to my master.
O'Neill: Yes, you do that. Don't forget to tell him you screwed up again
O'Neill: I assume you know about the part where you don't kill us
Her'ak: Surrender or die!
O'Neill: I was just going to say the exact same thing
O'Neill: Personally I think this whole ascension thing is overrated
O'Neill: Well spank me rosy!
