Synopsis

Plot

Earth finds itself threatened by something even larger than the Gou'ald when the team learns that an asteroid is on a collision course with the planet. They decide to blow it up before it reaches earth and so they send SG1 on a Goa'uld Cargo ship with a bomb. However once there they discover the asteroid is not what it seems and that it is infact made from Naquadah and blowing it up would just taking out the solar system. They must now think of a way to get it out of earths path.

Quotes

Jalen: I am Jalen of the Tok'ra. We received your distress call and came as fast as we could. Can we render assistance?
O'Neill: Well, you know, it's not like we don't have everything totally under control. But, sure, render away.
Carter: Choice three, sir. We expand the ship's hyperspace field to encompass the entire asteroid. We take it out of normal space long enough to avoid the collision with Earth
O'Neill: Is there a four...?
O'Neill: The X301? That was you guys?
Webber: You have to admit it performed beautifully right up until the point you and Teal'c were sent into deep space
O'Neill: I do this every day
Spellman: That's probably because you don't understand what actually happens to your body when you go through this thing. I do
O'Neill: Now see, that's gonna be a problem. Seeing as (the Tollan) been wiped out by the Goa'uld
Freyr: That is unfortunate
O'Neill: And Earth gets hit by that rock and we're all wiped out, that's gonna be unfortunate too?
Freyr: Very
Back at the SGC
O'Neill: And after that I kind of lost my temper
Hammond: What does that mean?
Daniel: Let's just say Jack made a reference to Freyr's mother
O'Neill: Guys...I can see my house!
O'Neill: You know, I'd like to take this opportunity to say that this is a very poorly designed bomb and I think we should say something to somebody when we get back
