Synopsis
Plot
When an Atlantis team find a medieval planet they are perplexed when they find a flag which has a picture that resembles McKay. Upon telling Weir, McKay and Sheppard quickly realise that it's the same flag that he designed on a flag for a game. Deciding to go to the planet, they learn that the 'game' was in fact an ancient communication system which sent orders to the planet's surface which was then followed by the inhabitants of the planet. The planet split in two halves, one controlled by McKay the other by Sheppard, both believing it to be a Civilizations type of game, decided to take different development paths in order to better the other. Sheppard being a military man taking the warrior route, whereas McKay the scientist, giving his followers technological advancements. On the planet they discover the two sides hate each other, and are at the brink of war. In an attempt to calm the two sides down, Weir has them come to Atlantis where they could be told what has happened, however things go wrong when the leader of Sheppard's side gives the order for his men to attack McKay's followers when Sheppard isn't looking. As war starts between the two people, Sheppard and McKay try hard to stop the two sides from destroying themselves, however when the Daedalus arrives McKay manages to come up with a plan, making both sides realise what this war will bring.
