Synopsis

Plot

In Atlantis McKay discovers that his 'friend' which helped Sheppard and Zalenka find him [Grace under Pressure], McKay tries to research a way to communicate with it. Naming it 'Sam' after Samantha Carter, In the meantime, Teyla starts to hear and see things which aren't there. unfortunately, when examined by Beckett, he fails to find anything that could cause this. But soon enough, Weir too starts to see the 'hallucinations', and it doesn't stop there as Beckett is next to see it. Hoping to learn about more about the Whales, Sheppard and McKay decide to take a jumper to see them however upon closer inspection they fall into trouble when the close proximity to the whales gives them headaches, and more bad news is heard when they learn that over a dozen more whales are on their way to them. Back at the city, many more people start to see the hallucinations, now thought to be Ancients. With Sheppard and McKay back safe in the city, they soon realise that there's a connection between the Whales appearing and everyone seeing the Ancient hallucinations. Whilst trying to find a way to stop them, McKay and Sheppard find an Ancient Bio Lab which tells them that it is the Whales which are 'projecting' the images of the Ancients in an attempt to help them, however they have no idea what from. After much research, McKay soon learns that the systems sun is about to have a Solar Flare, one which is powerful enough to kill everyone on the planet. However this time, Sheppard comes to the rescue, and using the Daedalus and it's shield powered by a ZPM, they manage to divert the blast wave protecting the planet and those that live there.
