Also known as a DHD. A Dial home device is made of 39 symbols, and on every DHD their is one unique symbol which denotes the point of origin.

There are 20 symbols on the outer track and 19 on the inner track.

Equipping a DHD to a Stargate makes the Stargate superior. The Earth Stargate is connected to a human built DHD, and if any Stargate on Earth is connected with a working DHD, that Stargate will automatically become superior, and will receive any incoming travellers.
