Burke is an air force officer who got caught up in a scandal. Once a good friend of Jack O'Neill, the two quickly became distant when Burke shot a mutual friend whilst part of the Black Ops. This also resulted to him being transferred to Hondurus and it wasn't till Daniel Jackson caught captured that him and Jack met up again. During this time, the truth behind what actually happened during their Black-op days came out - Burke shot the friend since he discovered that he had sold them out, and was giving a warlord their position.
