The Athosians are a peaceful race who live in fear of the Wraith. The Athosians were the first race in the Pegasus Galaxy encountered by the Atlantis Expedition. They were forced to leave their home planet, Athos, when the Wraith attacked and left the planet in ruins. The Athosians relocated to Atlantis where they stayed for some time before Sheppard found that there was also a mainland on Atlantis. The Athosians then relocated to the mainland, where they farmed food for their people as well as the Atlantis Expedition, occasionally being relocated off world when a Storm is about to hit the mainlands or when the Wraith attack. The Athosians have proved to be helpful allies to the Expedition members.
