Many of Arja's family and friends were killed by the Wraith culling of his planets, when it was used as a stop-off point by the Wraith who were on their way to Atlantis. The Wraith took anyone they could, however Arja managed to escape thanks to John Sheppard and Teyla Emmagan. He returned to Atlantis with Sheppard and Teyla, and was most likely to be relocated.
