History

Argos was once under rule by the Goa'uld Pelops. He used the population of the planets to experiment on the population. Pelops tried to create a Hok'ta (Advanced Tau'ri/ Advanced Host) with which he could increase his power, he did this by artificially ageing the population to live only 100 days, after which they would appear to be 100 years instead of days. He decreased the life span in-order to bring about the evolutionary change sooner. However when SG-1 visited the planet, Jack became infected, and discovered that nanites are what cause the people to age at a fast rate. They discovered a device on the planet, which they destroyed, and then deactivated the Nanite, allowing the people of the planet to grow at a normal rate.
