An engineer at Atlantis, Ager was responsible for the magnetic grappler which was rigged to lower the F-302 fighters into the Puddle Jumper bay. When Rodney McKay was stuck in a puddle jumper in the ocean surrounding Atlantis, Ager was charged with modifying the grappler to hoist the Puddle jumper from the ocean in an attempt to save McKay.
