The Abydonian's are the residents of the planet Abydos. All of them have been now been killed by Anubis's powerful weapon, however, they all Ascended with the exception of Sha're.
The Abydonians are the first race encountered through the Stargate by the SGC. They are a primitive race who believed Ra to be their god. The Abydonians learnt English from Daniel Jackson, and have learnt to use Earth weapons.
